Mr. Shams
Adnan Shams is a partner at SRM Law. Mr. Shams’ practice concentrates on corporate matters, corporate finance, international transactions, and conducting commercial real estate transactions for various clients including financial institutions, distributors, operators, franchisees, manufacturers, investors, tech startups, and developers. Mr. Shams is regularly involved in the negotiation, structure, documentation and closing of complex corporate, commercial real estate and finance transactions in the United States and abroad.
Prior to co-founding SRM Law, Mr. Shams practiced for several years in the private sector in various industries. Mr. Shams spent years in the accounting field while at a private accounting firm and a commercial development company. Mr. Shams has also worked in the Information Technology field as a Director of Information Technology for a top 5 executive search firm. Mr. Shams gained further experience in international business transactions at a commodities trading company.
Each year for the last six years, Mr. Shams has been recognized by his peers and named a “Rising Star” by Illinois Super Lawyers magazine, a designation limited to no more than 2.5% of lawyers in the State of Illinois.

Ms. Mozwecz
Jennifer Mozwecz represents clients in a variety of transactional and general corporate matters, including federal and state regulation compliance, partnership and corporation operating agreements, and intellectual property acquisition, protection and maintenance. Additionally, Ms. Mozwecz represents clients in various corporate litigation matters, and counsels clients on settlements and negotiations.
Ms. Mozwecz graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, where she was recognized on the College of Engineering Dean’s List and was honored as a University of Illinois Chancellor’s Scholar, as well as receiving the Caterpiller Company Outstanding Student in Electrical and Computer Engineering Scholarship. She obtained her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, where she received the DePaul University College of Law Dean’s Scholarship.
Ms. Mozwecz is admitted to the Illinois Bar, the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is also a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
Ms. Mozwecz was recognized by her peers and named a “Rising Star“ attorney by Illinois Super Lawyers magazine for 2016, a designation limited to less than 2.5% of lawyers under 40 years of age in the State of Illinois.
Jennifer L. Mozwecz is a shareholder at Shams, Rodriguez & Mozwecz, P.C., and one of the founding members.
